
Ken Shamrock was born on 11th February, 1964 carrying the name Kenneth Wayne Kilpatrick. He had been a wrestler at the professional level as well as a mixed martial arts fighter who got wide acclaim due to his art.
Ken Shamrock came into the limelight for being a part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, World Wrestling Federation and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. He was the winner of the NWA World Heavyweight Champion in TNA and was also recognized as King of the Ring in the year 1998.
He officially switched over his name to Ken Shamrock to honor Bob Shamrock, who was the owner of Shamrock Ranch that helps the boys in Susanville, California out of their problems. Bob had played a very important role in the earlier part of his life showing him the right direction to follow in life.
Ken Shamrock along with his brother Frank Shamrock was an adopted kid. He did his studies from the Shasta College located in Redding, California. He had also worked as the head trainer of the Lion's Den, which is the school meant for shoot-fighting or more popularly known to be submission fighting.
Ken Shamrock was also inducted in the Shasta County Sports Hall Of Fame. He got married to Tina and they have three kids namely Ryan, Connor, and Shawn. He was also a father of three step children through his second wife namely Tonya.
Ken Shamrock constantly sung What you got as composed by Reveille in UFC while he used to make his way to the octagon. The wrestling theme song that he followed on the professional level in the WWE was called as Lion's Den.
Ken Shamrock got his training from Bob Sawyer, Buzz Sawyer as well as Nelson Royal. In the year 1996, he entered into a contract with the world Wrestling Federation. In March of the year 2002, he was positioned as the referee of the Ring of Honor match that took place between Low Ki and American Dragon.
Ken Shamrock was the founder of the Lions Den, which is a group that concerned with imparting the skills of mixed martial arts. The fighters like Guy Mezger and Frank Shamrock, who got their training from this institute have become legendary personalities. At Pride Grand Prix Finals, which was organized in the year 2000 he won the match fighting against Alexander Otsuka. In the rings he was also called as Vince Torelli, Wayne Shamrock.
