Paradise (CA) California is an incorporated town in Butte County. It is located in the northwest foothills of California's Central Valley, in the Sierra. Paradise California is considered as a part of the Chico Metropolitan Area. The population in 2000 had reached upto 26,408. The Latitudinal and longitudinal distance of this Paradise is approximately 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Chico and 100 miles (160 km) north of Sacramento. The town is approximately 8 miles (13 km) east of the city of Chico, and 10 miles (16 km) north of the Oroville area.

The town of Paradise California is spread out on a huge ridge, which extends between deep canyons on either side of it. These canyons are formed by the west branch of the Feather River to the east, and Butte Creek to the west, which forms a magnificent canyon that is commonly known as a mini-Grand Canyon. Altitudinal range in the town ranges from around 1500 to 2300 feet that is approximately 450 to 700 m, and it increases as one step towards north.

According to the calculations of the United States Census Bureau, Paradise California has a total area of 18.2 square miles (47.3 km²). The area of this Paradise has its extensions northwards from Paradise to include the town of Magalia and smaller sections of some beautiful areas of Stirling City to the far north. For this Town of Paradise it is an exciting and dynamic era because of the incorporation of small-sized city since 1979.

The Paradise California is located in Butte County in Northern California. Nestled at about 2.000 ft. elevation in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this paradise is well known for tall pines trees and blue skies. The Paradise area comprises of the communities of Magalia, Paradise Pines, Lovelock, Stirling City and Inskip. The favorite times for locals to remember our rich history are Johnny Appleseed Days, which is celebrated in October and Gold Nugget Days, which is celebrated each April.

The early inhabitants of this Paradise California Ridge before the arrival of foreign settlers were Maidu Indians who lived here for perhaps 10,000 years. The miners were hunted in this region with the onset of the Gold Rush. The largest gold nugget ever found in California was of about 54 pounds and was discovered in the town of Magalia in 1859, of which 49.5 ounces were pure gold.

Today, the Town of Paradise California and surrounding communities have been a shelter to nearly 40,000 people and continues to grow as more visitors discover this beautiful, friendly town with an unimaginative beauty, scenery and fresh air. Wikipedia
