Craig Price Serial Killer

Craig Price is an extremely notorious murderer from Rhode Island and came to the headlines by media fanfare after being referred to as the Warwick Slasher. He was arrested by the cops in the year 1989, when he was only 15 years old, for the murders of a woman and her two daughters, and the brutal assassination of another woman two years ago. Craig Price had a very disreputable previous criminal record which involved petty burglary and drug use.

Since he was arrested as a minor, the judge presiding over the case had to release him and ordered that his criminal records shall not be immediately disclosed. Craig Price was ultimately released on his 21st birthday. Given the sheer brutality and lack of humane constraint in his crimes several criminal psychologists were of the opinion that he was a poor candidate for rehabilitation and parole. In spite of the threat of Contempt of the Court, a political activist and peoples organization called Citizens vehemently opposed the courts decision to release Craig Price and demanded a sentence awarding him a much more rigorous imprisonment.

After a long judicial proceeding and opposition from Human Rights and Civil Liberties Groups and activists, Craig Price was successfully sentenced to an additional 10-25 years, which shall again depend upon his willing cooperation with the treatment meted out to him as per the laws. Price maintains that he has paid his debt to society, and is being kept in jail partially due to reasons emanating out of racism. Although some sections of the domestic audience may agree to such claims, one should take a holistic perspective to his past records and criminal activities.

The youngest serial killer as per the documented evidence one can derive from the various archives Craig Price, a black youth from a lower middle class working family, is believed to have committed his first murder when he was only 13 years old. The unfortunate victim was a white female from his own neighborhood, whom he peeped on dozens of occasions. He stabbed her to death with one of her kitchen knives after breaking in, one day with intentions other than of murder. But such claims are again based on several undocumented hypotheses.

The murder mystery, in the jargon of detective agencies, went unsolved until a few months after Craig Price committed his second murder which took place almost 2 years later, when he was 15 years old. This time the poor victims were two white females, who again happened to reside in his neighborhood. The slashing was so similar to the earlier case that the FBI was called in to profile a serial killer. They failed to finger a 16 year old black male, and it took an observant detective, who noticed Craig with a big cut on his hand, too crack the case.
