Harbor Island is a man made island that was built in 1909 with dredge spoils from the Duwamish River and soil from the Jackson Hill and regrades from Dearborn Street. It is located in the mouth of Duwamish Waterway in Seattle where the waterway empties itself into the Elliot bay.
