Stephen Coogan Comedian


Stephen Coogan was born on October 14th 1965. His full name is Stephen John Coogan. His is a British actor, impressionist and a well known comedian. His character as Alan Partridge is unanimously for sports and TV related issues. His television shows like The Day Today, Knowing Me, Knowing you are even outside the United Kingdom. He has also appeared in films.

Stephen Coogan was raised in Middleton, Lancashire. One of his eight brothers, Brendan, is a former Top Gear presenter, and another, Martin was the lead singer of the early 1990s band The Mock Turtles. All the brothers attended the Cardinal Langley RC High School. He started out as a stand-up comedian and he was amazingly talented in the field of mimicry. He worked in many adverts doing voice over works. He also acted on the observation round on The Krypton Factor in 1989.

Stephen Coogan hosted his own radio show and he teamed up with Chris Morris and Armando Lannucci for a comedy show called On the hour. He also had his own chat show and he had a sitcom called Im Alan Partridge. Paul and Pauline Calf were be used by Coogan before his other creations. Paul has appeared on an episode of Coogans Run, he acts as an unemployed bloke with a fastidious hatred for students. This character is quite famous with the British crowd.

Paul lives in a council house in the fictional town of Ottle with his mother and his sister, Pauline Calf Pauline, even the ladies character was played by Stephen Coogan. Paul supports the EPL football club Manchester City and is very partial to Wagon Wheels. He is trapped in the eighties. This character wears Burtons Suits; he has a mullet and drives an old Ford Cortina. He also created characters like Tommy Saxondale, Duncan Thicket, and Tony Ferrino.

Stephen Coogan starred in Combat Sheep, as show on HBO, as Robbie the Reindeer. He was a part of BBC2s The Private Life of Samuel Pepys in 2003. He was a sensation in Cruise of the Gods in 2002 and in 2006 he had a short appearance with the Little Britain Christmas Special as a pilot. In 2007, Coogan played a psychiatrist on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. He has also starred in multiple films where his contributions have been in the direction of the film.

Stephen Coogan wrote a film with Henry Normal called the Parole Officer. He had an unaccredited appearance in the movie Hot Fuzz. He won numerous awards in British Comedy, BAFTAs and the South Bank Show Award for comedy. He and Henry now run a production company; they founded Baby Cow Productions in 1999.
