Eric Balfour was born on April 24, 1977 in L.A, California. His birth name was Eric Salter Balfour. Eric has Russian, French and Native American connection all together. His mother Sharon Salter used to be a family and marriage counselor and David Balfour, his father, was a chiropractor.
Eric Balfour made his appearance on the kid TV show, 'Kid Incorporated' in 1991. But he did it for only one season. In 1997, he got a chance in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. There his character happened to be the earliest victim of the show. In few years later, he was featured in 'Fergalicious' music video by Fergie, the twenty two year old female hip-hop singer. She happened to be a cast mate of Balfour in the 'Kids Incorporated'.
Eric Balfour had a lot of hiccups early in his career. His three TV shows were cancelled after there early start. There was 'Hawaii' of NBC in 2004. It was cancelled only after seven episodes. Then there was 'Sex, Love & Secrets' aired on UPN. That show was telecast only for four episodes in 2005. And the last was Dick Wolf's 'Conviction' which was aired on NBC for only one season.
Eric Balfour was cast in the horror flick 'The Texas Chinsaw Massacre (2003) with Jessica Biel, Jonathan Tucker and Erica Leerhsen. He did a minor part in 'The O. C'. He enthralled the audience with the portrayal of Gabriel Dimas in the HBO show 'Six Feet Under'. In 2003, Balfour had an interesting project called, ' Veritas: The Quest'. This ABC show told the story of a group of adventurers who were after the enigmas of the world.
Eric Balfour made his appearances both in 'The West Wing' and '24'. In '24' he played the character of Milo Pressman, a techno professional. Balfour is ready to act in CBS's new pilot 'Protect & Serve'. Balfour is chosen as the new face of Valentino's new male fragrance called as 'Valentino V'. In 2005, Balfour's popularity skied with the controversial independent film 'Lie with Me'. It was a Canadian film directed by Clement Virgo. The movie had Lauren Lee Smith paired up with Balfour. Balfour has his band 'Born as Ghosts' formed by Tiffin Roley, Paul Turner, Blair Shotts etc.
