Tropical Storm Barry Gulf Coast Depression

On the Peninsula's central or northern Gulf coast a number of tropical storms were predicted to cause landfall. It was near the state's Big Bend area, Bonita Beach on Floridas southeast coast from where they warned about it. According to the National Weather service they were expecting 13-17 tropical storms among which 7-10 were supposed to be hurricanes and the rest in some strong category.

The National Hurricane Center stated that the tropical storm Barry forming on the first of Atlantic hurricane season had caused landfall in Tampa Bay in the morning and had gone to the state of Jacksonville in the evening. The tropical storm Barry was expected to rain about 6 inches (15 centimeters) in some of the parts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Even also in the Guatemalan border town of Ocos the storm had affected a lot and a number of about 100 people were also evacuated from there.
