Immaculate Conception Dogmatic Theology

Roman Catholic dogma said that the conception of Mary, the mother of Jesus was without any stain of original sin, in her mother's womb is the Immaculate Conception. Further he said that Mary was preserved by God from the lack of sanctifying grace that cause problems for the mankind from the first instant of her life. It is said that she lived a sin free life.

Pope Sixtus IV started the tradition of celebrating 8 December as The feast of the Immaculate Conception in 1476. Pope Pius IX in his organization Ineffabilis Deus seriously defined the Immaculate Conception as a dogma on 8th December, 1854. The Oxford Franciscans William of Ware and especially Blessed John Duns Scotus fortified the doctrine in spite of the terrifying tradition and scholarly view.

Resistance from original sin was given to Mary by a singular immunity from a universal law through the same merits of Christ, by which other men are cleansed from sin by baptism. Mary desired the saving Savior to obtain this freedom and be delivered from the universal necessity and debt of being subject to original sin. Eastern Orthodoxy or by Christians of Reformed or Protestant traditions do not share the doctrine of Immaculate Conception.

Protestants do not believe the growth of dogmatic theology to be reliable apart from biblical exegesis. Although some Anglo-Catholics believe it, but is rejected by most in the Anglican Communion. Restoration Movement a protestant group, believe in the Immaculate Conception of everyone and do not believe in original sin. The Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a lesser commemoration in the Book of Common Prayer.

Acknowledgment of the angel Gabriel -chaire kecharitomene, Hail, full of grace (Luke 1:28) indicates a unique profusion of grace, a supernatural, godlike state of soul, which finds its clarification only in the Immaculate Conception of Mary. But the term kecharitomene (full of grace) serves only as a figure, not as a proof of the dogma.

It was defined by Pope Pius IX ex cathedra the dogma of the Immaculate Conception as We declare, pronounce and define that the doctrine which holds that the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the first instant of her conception. By a singular privilege and grace of the Omnipotent God, in virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind, was preserved immaculate from all stain of original sin, has been revealed by God, and therefore should firmly and constantly be believed by all the faithful.
