
Lost Boys 2: The Tribe is an upcoming sequel to the 1987 film, The Lost Boys. It is a horror film starring Autumn Reeser, Tad Hilgenbrink, Angus Sutherland, Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander. The project is under production and deals with the story of 2 young children who visit a new town and find themselves caught up with vampires.
Since, Lost Boys 2 is under production, the plot remains under wraps but it mainly deals with 2 children. They visit their relative in a new town in Luna Bay, California, where vampires are very active and remove anybody crossing their path. The children come to stay with their eccentric aunt, Jillian, having lost their parents in a car accident.
In this world of vampires, these two children, Chris Emerson played by Tad Hilgenbrink and his sister Nicole played by Autumn Reeser steps in to stay with their aunt. Both Chris and Nicole lost their parents in a car accident. In this film Lost Boys 2 Nicole falls under the trap of a vampire, it is up to Chris to save his sister from this transformation. He must destroy the lifeline of the vampire gang in order to save his sisters life. In order to complete this task, he takes the help of Edgar Frog, played by Corey Feldman.
The film Lost Boys 2 has subtle references to characters from the original film along with cameos of other actors from the first film. The Frog Brothers who return in the movie to destroy the vampires is played by Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander, who performed in the 1st film as well. But the original story has been further developed to give a new and different story line to the sequel.
The role of the vampires would be played by Merwin Mondesir, Shaun Sipos and Kyle Cassie. Moneca Delain is the new addition to the films cast and though Corey Haim was supposed to star in the film, he said, he would not be taking part in the film. A number of new songs are introduced in Lost Boys 2, which has been recorded by Gerard McMann.
Production of Lost Boys 2 started in early 2007 and shooting began in Vancouver and some believe that even San Diego was also used as one of the locations. The film is directed by P.J. Pesce and produced by Chris Foss. It is an English Language film that is expected to be released in 2008 and as of 25th September 2007, now it is in the post production stage.
