USA Basketball is a non-profit organization that is concerned with the promotion and organization of the game of Basketball, both for the men and for the women. This organization has its headquarters in Colorado in the United States of America. Its main job is to provide proper training to men and women who are professional basketball players and make the proper selection for sending them to play in the International Basketball Federation and other competition of both national and international level.

Maui Invitational College Basketball Tournament
Fifty years ago, the NCAA opened the door to greater competition in college sports by adopting the Hawaiian Exemption. This paved the way for Hawaii-based colleges to compete with mainland schools despite their geographical disadvantage. On December 23, 1982, NAIA Chaminade defeated Virginia, putting itself on the nationwide map and led to the creation of the Maui Classic. 78 schools representing 20 conferences and 36 states have competed in the Maui Classic, today's EA SPORTS Maui Invitational. Maui participants have won an amazing round of championships – 52 of 68 NCAA championships, 51 of 67 national runner-up spots and comprise 202 of 272 Final Four teams.
