Travers Stakes Oldest Horse Race
The Travers Stakes is the oldest Thoroughbred Grade I horse race in America. It is held at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. The race was first held in the year 1864, and was named after William R. Travers, who was the president of the old Saratoga Racing Association.

Today’s cyclocross race that was held at the Heritage Park posed a lot of challenge in front of the participants. The participant cyclists who were taking part in today’s race had to go through a rigorous course of covering rough switchbacks and also had to climb steep hilly paths. This course was highly exhausting, all through the 2 miles that they had to cover around the area of the Heritage Park, which had a number of tough and twisted switchbacks, steep hills, and alike.

The Preakness Maryland Horse Race
The Preakness or the Preakness Stakes is a Grade 1 stakes horse race for approximately 1.91 kilometers. Thoroughbred horses are used for this race for three year old horses. It is annually held in Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland on every Saturday of May. Multiple breeds are seen and raced in different categories. Colts, Fillies and Geldings are a few of the breeds.
