Worlds Longest River Nile
The river Nile, running through the country of Egypt is the Worlds longest river. It is in fact the only main river running across the continent of Africa. It drains about 3,254,555 sq. km of the continent, which accounts for about 10 percent of the land. Besides Egypt, the other countries that are blessed with the river water are Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. This river has a length of 6,650 km. The river discharges its water in the Mediterranean Sea.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge Longest Bridge
The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is the longest bridge in the world extending upto 29,040 feet which is nearly 5.5 miles or 8.85 km. It constitutes the part of I-275 and US 19 which joins the St. Petersburg in Pinellas County and Terra Ceia in Manatee County in Florida crossing the waters of Hillsborough County. The year 1982 marked the start of the building of the bridge which finally got constructed on the 7th February, 1987. It was accessible for transport on 20th April, 1987. Tappan Zee Bridge On Hudson River
The official name of the Tappan Zee Bridge is The Governor Malcolm Wilson Tappan Zee Bridge. The name of the bridge was derived from various origins. The Tappan Indian tribe lived in the region prior to colonialism. Then the Dutch lived in New York in the 1600s and they referred to the Hudson River as zee. Thus the name Tappan Zee Bridge, but in mid 1990s, the bridge was re-dedicated to Malcolm Wilson who had been the Governor of New York state in 1974 and 1975. Since then, the official name of the bridge has been The Governor Malcolm Wilson Tappan Zee Bridge.

The name of the bridge (and also the point in the river) comes from native Indian tribe Tappan originating from that area and Zee comes from Dutch language where it means sea.
