The Year Without a Santa Claus is the animation movie for children, which released in 1974 and its live action remake was released in 2006. It was a fictitious version of Mr. Santa Clause. At the beginning of the animation movie Mrs. Santa began to tell the story about the time when Santa had a bad cold and he decided to take a rest in Christmas. The film was all about the fantasy and it took the fair attention of the children.

Jingle Bells and Jangle Bells, who are the two elves of Santa Clause, take a decision to convince Santa that the Christmas spirit is still important to everybody. And The Year Without a Santa Claus Christmas will become joyless. They consulted with Mrs. Clause about this matter and she told that, Santas mood was off. If any one could take snow in Southtown, a southern part of USA, where it never snows for Christmas, then Santa would go for Christmas.

To convince Santa she advised to converse with the Miser Brothers, who are controlling the hot and cold weather worldwide. Heat Miser could do everything with the hot weather, while snow Miser was the ruler of cold. Jingle Bells and Jangle Bells went to Miser brothers to convey that The Year Without a Santa Claus would not be precious for anybody. But Miser brothers did not agree to change their way and cannot give the consent to let it snow in Southtown.

Mrs. Clause knew the trick and she advised to consult with their Mother Nature. With the consent of their mom, Snow Miler agreed to drop snow in Southtown. These move make Santas mood little good and he wanted to see his importance for the Christmas among the people. So he put on a civilians dress and tried to find his importance. He found that, many people need Santa for their Christmas; especially the children are keenly waiting for him and could not consider The Year Without a Santa Claus.

Santa changes his mind completely after receiving a miserable letter from a little girl who whimpered about how sad she would be if she doesn't get her Christmas gift. The music and songs played a vital role in The Year Without a Santa Claus. There are eight songs in the movie and every song has played a vital role. The little girls snivel conveyed with the song Blue Christmas. The title song as well as the Snow Miser Song and the depressed Heat Miser Song creates different ambiance.

The movie is still very popular among the children of United States. Thats why the show is still aired on ABC Family Cable Network at the eve of the Christmas. Through their ownership of the post 1974 Ranking/Bass library, Warner Bros. Television distributes the show. The recent movie is also being popular, but less than the animated movie. Children love the scenes of Miser Brothers much and want to see them again and again and like to listen the songs also.
