Thomas Joseph Leykis or Tom Leykis, as we all know him, was born on August 1, 1956 in New York. In 1970, as a teenager, he won a contest for a one time radio appearance in WBAB Radio in Babylon, New York. He was then asked several times to fill-in as the host on the show. From then on, he has become a controversial yet bold and unique radio host with two shows on Thursdays and Fridays. In his early years, Tom used to end calls of frustrated or ignorant callers by sound of a bomb exploding or toilet flushing.
