Kellie Pickler Rising Star Singer

Kellie Pickler was born on the 28th of July, 1986, in Albemarle, in North Carolina in the family of the Mortons. As her mother Cynthia Morton had left her when she was only two years old, Kellie grew up under the supervision of her father Clyde Pickler and her grandmother Faye Pickler.

Kelly Pickler studied in North Stanly High School in New London and graduated in the year 2004. Right from her early age, she showed huge amount of dedication towards music. She had a beautiful voice and could sing very well. She was also a dancer and a cheerleader in school.

In the year 2005, Kellie Pickler auditioned herself and was selected to participate in the American Idol which was to be held in Greensboro, in North Carolina. Of all the songs that she had sung there, Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone and Martina McBride's A Broken Wing, impressed the judges the most.

Kelly Pickler marched into the semi-finals of the competition in the month of February where she faced a tough competition from the fellow competitors. However, she still was unstoppable and she advanced to the final of the contest. By then, the judges, who were spell bound by her voice, sent her to work in Hollywood.

However, Kellie Pickler was finally eliminated from the American Idol contest, but not before she had given herself a very bright and promising career. She was placed sixth in the contest. She had been called as a guest in many television shows, where she talked of her success in the American Idol.

Kelly Pickler received huge respect wherever she went. She received numerous awards from all sorts of government officials and charity institutions. The mayor of North Carolina also announced the day when she returned home as the Kellie Pickler Day. It was on the 6th of May, 2006.

Since her success in the competition, Kellie Pickler has been in focus. She featured in magazines like the People Magazine and U.S Weekly Magazine. She took part in various musical events like the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and the Country Music Association.

Kelly Pickler is also heard in various radio channels like the 98.7 WMZQ, 97.3 Eagles and 96.3 KSCS. She is also found presenting her views in the Country Music Television website and USA TODAY online. Her popularity thus has made her available everywhere.

However, Kellie Pickler seemed much intent to carry out her professional life as a singer. Though she has been featuring in various television shows and advertisements, her main aim is to become a person recognized only for her voice.
