Bret Michael is a lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison and also stars in the reality show Rock Of Love with bret Michaels on VH1. He was born on 15th March, 1963 in Butler, Pennsylvania –U.S. The instruments mainy played by him on the stage are Vocals and Guitars.

Bret Michaels, since the tender age of six he has suffered from type 1 diabetes.From a small age he was a fan of Pittsburgh Steelers. As a small child his family relocated from Butler, Pennsylvania to Mecahnicsburg, Pennsylvania near Harrisburg. There he attended Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School.

Bret Michaels formed a band , named Paris in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in the year 1984. This band which later became famous as Poison moved to Los Angeles in 1984 to begin touring the clubs there. He released his first album in 1998 which was the sound track to his movie 'A Letter From Death Row'. In the year 2000 and 2001 he released a interview/music album and a Country demo cd. In May 2003 he released his second album Songs Of Life.

In the year 2005, Bret Michaels had completed his work on his third album Freedom Of Sound, which was scheduled to release by his own record company BMB Records. Brett has also produced and written for numerous artists, including Steve Nicks, for whom he produced and wrote the famous song, Love's a Hard Game to Play for a abum known as Timespace- The Best Of Steve Nicks.

Bret Michaels and actor Charlie Sheen both together establised a film production company known as Sheen/Michaels Entertainment, which produced the movie named A Letter From Death Row (1998) which Michaels wrote, directed and starred in, as well as the movie No Code Of Conduct the same year. Their production company also produced the movie Free Money , starring Marlon Brando and Mira Sorvino.

Brett Michaels has two daughters and his wife named Kristi Lynn Gibson. His first daughter, Raine Elizabeth, was born on May 2, 2000, and second, Jorja Bleu, was born on May 5, 2005. As of the year 2007 both husband and wife are separated and share custody of their children. As a teenager Michaels has also been a fan of Pittsburg Steelers football. He also has personalized guitar bearing the team's logo.

Bret Michaels recently won the title of Best Dude of The Year 2007. Bret also owns a metal store in Shakopee, MN known as Bret Michaels Steel Emporium. The store is also contains an area which stores various hard-to-find Poison memorabilia. On february 14, 2007 the cable-TV network VH1 announced that Michaels would star as the bachelor in the reality television dating-competition series Rock of Love With Bret Michaels. Wikipedia
