Rockefeller Tree Lighting Situated In New York

The Rockefeller tree lighting is a prime attraction of the Rockefeller Center which is located in the center of the complex between the 47th and the 50th streets and between the 5th and 7th Avenues in New York and draws a vast number of tourists because of its magnificence.

The Rockefeller Tree lighting is opened to the visitors throughout the year from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm barring the Christmas and the New Years Eve. On the Christmas Eve the tree is lit 24 hours and on the New Years Day the lights are switched off at 9pm.

The Rockefeller Tree Lighting though it looks spectacular yet it needs elaborate arrangements. Over five miles of light are used every year to stud this tree with lights. The tree is decorated with stars and lighting. When the tree is recycled a major portion of the trunk of the tree is donated to the nearby Boy Scouts. But the largest portion is donated to the US Equestrian team in New Jersey.
