Byron Houston NBA Player


Byron Houston was born on the 22nd of November, 1969 in Watonga in the state of Oklahoma. He is the son of the former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Curtis Perry. Being the son of one of basketballs all time great players, he was naturally inclined to playing basketball.

Byron Houston studied in Oklahoma State University where he started playing basketball. This 6 feet 5 inch tall boy was a power forward. He finally got selected in the NBA basketball team Chicago Bulls during the 1992 NBA draft. He was selected as the 27th candidate in that draft.

In his career as an NBA basketball player, Byron Houston not only played for the Chicago Bulls, but also has been a member of teams like Golden State Warriors, Seattle SuperSonics and Sacramento Kings. In fact, he left Chicago Bulls in the same year that he joined. He joined Golden State Warriors where he played for two years, from 1992 to 1994. In 1994-95 seasons, he played for Seattle SuperSonics and for Sacramento Kings in the 1995-96 seasons. His short career as a NBA professional was not something that can be left unrecognized. He was considered a valuable player of basketball.

However, Byron Houstons NBA career was not a long lasting one. He retired from NBA in the year 1996. He moved to Asia where he played in the Philippines Basketball Association under the cap of a team named Sunkist Orange Juicers, in the ear 1997.Thinks went well for him until June 2006 when he got caught up in an embarrassing situation. Being accused of being involved in a sex scandal with people below the age of 18, he was registered as a sex offender in the State of Oklahoma and was thus removed from the children's basketball camp.

Byron Houstons lifestyle started becoming more and more rugged. It was on the 13th of June, 2007 at around 5:45 in the evening, a woman reported to the Oklahoma City police that she saw a man masturbating in his car at a street intersection in northwestern Oklahoma City near Northwest Expressway and Independence Avenue. Police officers on reaching the spot found Byron inside that car with his underwear lying on the floor of the car. He was arrested on account of this indecent exposure. Moreover, he was driving with a license that had been canceled.

Due to this incident, Byron Houston has been arrested. However, he does not seem to be mentally fit. People believe that he is suffering from bipolar disorder. Considering his present state of mind, Judge Ray Elliott decided that it would be better to send him for a mental treatment than keeping him in prison. Byron attorney Richar Anderson confessed the fact that his client is in a disturbed state of mind, as he had undergone a lot of stress regarding various personal issues. At present medical treatment is being carried out in order to bring back the NBA player back to the normal course of life. Wikipedia
