Tasha Smith American Actress And Acting Coach

Tasha Smith is an American actress who has appeared in several films and plays. She has mainly been seen in supporting roles. Among her latest releases of note are Daddys Little Girls and Why Did I Get Married? Other than acting in films, Smith has also appeared as an acting coach on a television series title Americas Next Top Model. Recently Smith has started an acting workshop of her own.

Tasha Smith has worked with writer-director Tyler Perry in two of his films, Daddys Little Girls and the most recent one being, Why Did I Get Married? The latter is a comedy-drama inspired by a play of the same name which explores different aspects of the relationship pf marriage. In the film Smith shares screen space with Janet Jackson and Jill Scott. In Daddys Little Girls, Smith appears with Gabrielle Union and Idris Alba. In the film Smith plays the negative role of Jennifer to perfection portraying the corrupt and vindictive ex-wife of Albas character, Monty.

Other works of Tasha Smith include The Business with Kevin Hart, Kim Whitley and David Allan-Grier as well as a wide variety of supporting roles. She has appeared in feature films like ATL with T.I and Mykelti Williamson, The Good Mother with Angie Harmon and Joel Gretsche and The Whole Ten Yards with Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis. She has also starred in independent films like Miles From Home with Megan Good and Ty Hodges as well as Playas Ball with Allen Payne and Elise Neal.

Tasha Smith has acted in several television series as well. She is best known for her critically-acclaimed portrayal of the drug addicted Ronnie Boyce in HBOs Emmy award winning mini-series, The Corner which was directed by Charles S.Dutton. smith has also appeared in guest roles in such popular television show as Nip/Tuck, Girlfriends, Without A Trace and Strong Medicine among others. In Americas Next Top Model, Smith appears as an acting coach, helping the models with different scenes.

Smith has even served as the Executive Producer and the Host of her own talk-show for the Oxygen Network, Tasha Vision. Other than that she has guest hosted the late night show Later With Greg Kinnear and recently appeared as a filed correspondent on The Tyra Banks Show. Lately she has been busy with her own acting workshop titled the Tasha Smith Actors Workshop in which she trains aspiring young actors and actresses besides sharing her inspirational life story through motivational speaking.

Tasha Smith was born on February 8, 1971in Camden, New Jersey. She was raised by a single mother and has an identical twin sister, Sidra Smith. She is of African-American descent and while previously having declared herself an atheist, she currently practices Christianity. She is single and at present resides in Los Angeles, California.
