Anna Rawson Famous Woman Golfer

Anna Rawson is one of the most renowned woman golfers these days. She has definitely raised the status of the women golf in the sports world scenario. Rawson has succeeded in combining her career in golf and many of her other interests together.

Anna Rawson was born on 5th August in 1981, in Adelaide, South Australia. Her mother died when she was just a kid of five years. She spent her childhood with her father and brother. From her childhood she was very much interested in sports and she started playing golf when she was only 13. School and sports were always first for her.

Anna Rawson was a finalist in the Australian Dolly Magazine cover contest when she was 16. This was the start of her career in modeling and catwalk in print ads as well as on television. She was then selected to be on the Australian National Senior Squad and was the leading qualifier of the Australian Amateur. She also won the South Australian and Victorian Junior championships.

Anna Rawson won the Jack Newton International Junior Classic. And she was selected to be a member of the South Australian Senior State team. During the period she did not have any coach to guide her. She never neglected her studies. She was graduated High School with a territory entrance rank of 94.05. When Anna competed in the Australian Open, the University of Southern California awarded her with a golf scholarship.


Anna Rawson completed her graduation from USC with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a minor in Fine Arts. She scored a grade point average of 3.4. Anna dedicated herself to golf full time and started working with a professional golf coach. After a few months of working with a full time swing coach, Brady Riggs, and golf guru, Butch Harmon, Anna had brought her game to another level. With her team she won golf national championship, which is the first in USC history.

When Anna Rawson was invited to White House in 2003, she found that the golf game of the President George W. Bush was very average. She had one top ten and two top 20 finishes in only 11 events.
