Baba Booey Host Howard Stern Show

Baba Booey, whose actual name is Gary Patrick Dell'Abate was born on March 14, 1961 in Uniondale, New York, on Long Island. His father used to work as an icecream salesman. He went to Adelphi University and worked in radio stations of various colleges. He got his first show when he came in contact with Howard Stern while working with a traffic reporter on WNBC, Roz Frank.

In 1984, he worked for The Howard Stern Show and then joined K-Rock in New York, and currently works for Sirius Satellite Radio. He is often called Baba Booey on Stern's show, and is promptly recognised for his intelligence, organizational abilities, excellent memory and strong work ethic.

He was previously called Boy Gary, then got his Baba Booey nickname in 1989 when he narrated a tale of his prized collection of animation on the Howard Stern Show. Some people who are unacquainted with him thinks Baba Booey as his real name. Baba Booey has become a catchword for the Howard Stern Shows fans and has sometimes used as crank calls for many libe television and radio shows.

He is imitated for his large teeth, big lips and bad breath. He sometimes also wear a beekeeper's mask on the Stern show while talking to female guests so that the rest of the cast do not get disturbed by his lips and teeth. Baba Booey got married with Mary in 1992 and presently stays in Cos Cob, Connecticut. He has two sons Jackson and Lucas, who have made an appearance on the show ona small titled Daddy or Dummy. The death of his brother Steven, who died because of AIDS in January 1991, has encouraged him to support LIFEbeat The Music Industry Fights AIDS. He is a fan of 1980s music and often plays an Eighties music trivia game Stump the Booey, where he usually beats his contender. He also got a quick blow by mistake during a fight between A.J. Benza and Stuttering John Melendez.

In October 2006, he turned into the second regular personality on the Stern Show. Baba Booey was pictured in a sketch on Saturday Night Live by Adam Sandler. He has become the producer of The Howard Stern Show and has co-hosted the Wrap-Up Show.
