Born on 11th March, 1982, Thora Birch is one of the American actresses. She started her acting debut as a child artist and gained fame as a child artist during 1990s. She took part in several movies like Hocus Pocus, Now and Then and Alaska as a child artist. Then on, she appeared in more mature roles in the movies like American Beauty and Ghost World

Born in Los Angeles, California, Thora Birch got both of her parents as the molder and manager of her film career. Both of her parents were actors of adult films. They encouraged her to take part in auditions for commercials from a very early age. She got chance to show her face for the popular companies like Quaker Oats and Vlasic Pickles. Her first step to acting was in a short lived television series Day By Day in the role of Molly. In the same year she took part in the movie Purple People Eater for which she obtained a youth In Film award.

However, Thora Birch got a break in the year 1991 when she was cast as a tomboy in the movie Paradise. This role gained her much popularity. Her role of tomboy helped her to get several roles during the period of 1991 to 1995. The roles include the role of Dani in the movie Hocus Pocus.
