Konarka Technologies Power Plastic Maker Gets 45 Million Investment From Total By Bilateral Contract
Total, an international oil and gas company has made a total investment of $ 45 million in Konarka Technologies Inc. after a collaboration agreement between the two companies. Konarka, based at Lowell, produces a material called Power Plastic which converts light to energy. This transaction makes the Paris-based Total the largest shareholder of Konarka with its stake just being under 20 percent.

Konarka Solar Energy Company 45 Million Dollars Invested By Paris Oil And Gas Corporation Total
It was reported during the month of December 2008 that Konarka managed to obtain 45 million dollars which is invested by Paris-centered international oil and gas corporation namely Total. It was further reported that Konarka has entered into a bilateral R&D contract with Total. At present, Total is regarded as its biggest stakeholder as it holds 20 percent stake in the company.
