Eastern States Farmers Exchange For Strategic Marketing


Eastern States Farmers Exchange is a farmers market-house that is located on the state-house square. The new market has been built over the little River on the west of the bridge. In 1643, the general court of Connecticut needed a public market to be established. The market was set up for different types of commodities to be sold away to the clients as it is required.

Eastern States Farmers Exchange was set up by a law regulating the State-house square. It was here every single business transactions would be carried out. Every single day the market transactions are carried over at that market place, except on Sunday.

Eastern States Farmers Exchange was set at a strategic market location, where commoners could have an easy access. The market was located at the crossroads of the prominent streets like the Connecticut River side, the Little-River on the south, the Maiden-Lane and the Back Street towards the south.

Eastern States Farmers Exchange was located upon the arch on the West side, on the Main Street Bridge. This acted as a traffic obstruction that is needed for a larger and more prominently located city market. In 1829, the City Hall was relocated to the Main Street that removed the Meeting House in the Yard Market.

Eastern States Farmers Exchange was set up at the Front Street and Windsor and has been in service to the customers for a little over seven years. The Washington Market and the Franklin Market that were located at different locations like Trumbull and Arch added to the city that continued its operations in the decade of the 1970s.

From the decade of 1846 to 1856 the markets went through a number of strategic changes. The number of markets that were operating at that time gradually boomed. A gradual change took place in the increase in the number of markets. This increase was noted in the number of the unaffiliated local growers. Gradually a number of big brand brands like Phoenix, River and the StarLeather.
