Rolling Stones Popular Rock N Roll Band of Sixties


Rolling Stones is the name of a popular English music band. The music band specializes in different music types like- blues, Rhythm and blues and the Rock and Roll music. The rock and roll music genres became very popular especially during the British Invasion, during the decade of the 1960s.

Rolling Stones was set up at London in the year 1962. The musical band was formed by the group leader Brian Jones but the other musical member song composer and lead vocal Mick Jagger. Guitarist Keith Richards was the other prominent member who headed the popular music band. Other members of the musical band were Pianist Ian Stewart, drummer Charlie Watts and the bass instrumentalist Bill Wyman.

Unfortunately the lead vocal of Rolling Stones, who used to head the musical band earlier died pretty early in the year 1969. However he was left out of the group and replaced by the twenty year old musical member Mick Taylor. The musical band went into an American musical tour in the same year.

During American Music tour of Rolling Stones in 1969, the tour manager Sam Cutler introduced the musical band as The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World. But after sometime Mick Taylor quit the musical band and former member of the music group Faces, guitarist Ron Wood continued with the tenure. Further replacements took place in 1993, when Wyman left the musical group and he was replaced by Darryl Jones.

Rock-n-Roll music took new dimension with the musical members of Rolling Stones. The music band went to release 55 more musical albums, all of which were original numbers created by them. Some music albums also comprised of a number of music compilations. Of all the music releases that were made, 37 musical tracks featured in the list of Top-10 single music tracks.

Rolling Stones became very popular among the Rock-n-Roll music buffs all over the world. More than 200 million music albums were sold out all over the world. Of all the musical tracks that became very popular across nations, the musical track of 1971,Sticky Fingers ranged among a string of eight consecutive number one rock-n-roll music albums across the global music markets.

Later in the year 2004, Rolling Stones that has spread mass hysteria went to be rated as the number 4 of the top 100 musical great artistes of all times. The music album, A Bigger Bang was released in the year 2005 that was accompanied by the greatest and topmost gross revenue earner from any musical tour ever. This trend continued till the fall of summer in the year 2007.Wikipedia
