Shiri Appleby is a American actress who is credited for her lead performance as Liz Parker in the Roswell television series. Some of her very recent films are Six Degrees Anya; which is a TV Show and a 2007 movie What Love Is Debbie. In 2008 three films will be released where Shiri will act in the lead role.
Shiri Appleby was born on December 7, 1978 in Los Angeles, California. Along with her younger brother Evan, Shiri was brought up in the San Fernando Valley. It is located at the northwest province of downtown Los Angeles and over the Hollywood Hills at Los Angeles County. Shiris parents are both well established in their professional lives.
Applebys father is Jerry Appleby who is a telecommunications executive and her Israeli mother, Dina Bouader, is of Sephardic Jewish background and is a Hebrew teacher in a school. The word Shiri is Hebrew and it means either my song or simply sing. Shiri Appleby has brown hair, brown eyes and she is approximately 5'3 tall.
Shiri Appleby has a scar just above her left eyebrow and it is said that the scar was marked by a dog bite at her young age. This created a dog phobia in her and so to overcome this phobia Shiri started appearing in the show Emergency Vets along side Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald a staff veterinarian. She also wiped out another phobia of snake by holding a live snake, which was a patient of Fitzgerald.
Shortly after the television series Shiri Appleby adopted a Tabby, which was named Abby. Appleby finished her graduation in 1997 from Calabasas High School in California and she moved to the University of Southern California to accomplish major in English literature while continued studying theater arts. Shiri is well known by her welfare activities for the community and active contribution in charity events.
Rob Bourdon was the drummer of Linkin Park whom once Shiri Appleby dated and it is with him she attended the same high school. She started in on another dating with Zach Braff in June 2007. With Zach she is having a steady relationship till date.
Shiri Appleby set her acting career in motion right from the age of four. At this time she starred in several advertisements for various products. These products were like Cheerios and M&M's. She appeared in the first advertisement for Raisin Bran but it was never shown in the television.
Appleby has done quite a few cameo appearances on television programs. Among them the most notable is thirty something (1987), ER (1994), Baywatch (1989), Doogie Howser, M.D. (1989), Xena: Warrior Princess (1995), 7th Heaven (1996) and Beverly Hills 90210 (1990). Before Shiri Appleby got the role of Liz Parker she attempted to do the roles of both Isabel and Maria for Roswell.
