
Jillian Barberie (birth name: Jillian Warry), a Canadian actress and television hostess, was born on September 26, 1966, in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. She is best known for her role in EX-treme Dating, The Test and Volcano. She was adopted by an electrician and a nurse. In 2001, Jillian found out about her biological parents who were from the United Kingdom. As a child, she actively participated in figure skating.
A graduate of Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Jillian Barberie earned a degree from their two-year program in broadcast journalism. After this, she went on to work for different television stations, including The Weather Network, WSVN in Miami and KTTV in Los Angeles, both affiliated to Fox TV.
Jillian Barberie landed her first major job as a weathercaster for the Weather Network in Canada from 1990 to 1992. She joined the local Fox affiliate in 1992 to be the weathercaster on their 5, 6 and 10 pm news telecast. Subsequently, she started reporting about entertainment, sports and current events. In 1995, she joined the popular morning show, Good Day L.A., which continued for two years.
In the year 2000, Jillian Barberie got an assignment, which was a turning point in her career. She was offered to present the national weather segment of Fox Sports FOX NFL Sunday pregame show opposite James Brown, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw. It was such a hit that she went on to become a national figure with a considerable fan following.
Jillian Barberies stint as a weatherwoman on the small screen fetched her roles in several television dramas – Clueless, V.I.P., and Melrose Place. She has also hosted the TV show, EX-treme Dating. In addition to working on Good Day L.A., she worked on the national version of the show, Good Day Live. Her tenure ended abruptly on June 4, 2004, when she was fired from the show.
In 2005, Jillian Barberie was the co-host of Regis Philbin for his New Years Eve special on FOX TV. In 2006, she participated as a contestant on the Fox reality show, Skating with Celebrities. She partnered with professional skater John Zimmerman and lost. Since November 2006, she is the co-host of KTTVs Thats So Hollywood along with fellow KTTV/KCOP personality, Mark Thompson.
It was in Florida that Jillian met her husband, Bret Barberie, former Major League Baseball player. Her marriage lasted from 1996 to 2002. Jillian Barberie married a second time to Grant Reynolds on July 8, 2006. At that time, she announced that she was changing her name to Jillian Reynolds legally but would keep Barberie as her professional surname. She had her first child, a baby girl, Ruby Raven Reynolds, at 5 pm on Friday, July 6, 2007. Her weight was 6 lbs. and 7 oz.
