The Queen of Teens Sandra Dee was the most beautiful and talented actress who had her started career at the age of 12. Sandra was born on 23rd April, 1942 in Bayonne, New Jersey with the name of Alexandra Cymboliak Zuck.

At the age of four Sandra Dee became a professional model as she entered the 2nd standard in her studies. Sandra started her career when she was only twelve years of age and soon became the actress of television commercials which was an added benefit for her. In 1957, Sandra got her first contract in the film Until They Sail.


In 1958, Sandra Dee gave an applauding performance in The Reluctant Debutante thus winning the The Golden Globe Award for the most promising newcomer. She did another film The restless years in the same year. Sandras film career got flourished and as a result she started to work on numerous projects including imitation of Life (1959), A Summer Place (1959). In 1960, Sandra got married to the pop star Bobby Daring.


In the next few years Sandra Dee and Darin started working together. They worked together in Come September (1961), If A Man Answers (1962), The Funny Feeling (1965), all of which were huge successes. Sandras marriage with Darin ended in 1967, causing her great mental trauma and depression.

As Sandra Dee was not receiving calls from the film production houses, she started working for the television soaps. Sandra worked in various TV cinemas in the 1970s including The Manhunter (1972), Night Gallery (1972), The daughters of Joshua Cabe (1972), Houston, We have a problem (1974), Fantasy Island (1977). Sandra became famous and popular to the young generation after her overwhelming performance in Broadway musical movie Grease in 1978. Sandra appeared in her last film Lost for the silver screen.

Sandra Dee suffered from anorexia nervosa and the alcoholism in the 1990s. In the year of 2000, she had been diagnosed with throat cancer and renal disease. Her addiction to alcohol caused her kidney failure on February 2005. Sandra Dee died in thousand Oaks, California.
