Rebecca Gayheart Noted American Actress

Rebecca Gayheart, a American actress was born on August 12, 1971, in Hazard, Kentucky. Raised in Pinetop, Kentucky belonged to mixed origins as her parents were of Irish, Mexican, Italian, German and Cherokee Indian heritage.

While she was only 15, Rebecca shifted from her hometown to New York to attend the New York's Professional Children's School, completing her education there. Rebecca De Mornay then went on to attend the Lee Strasberg Institute, and landed up a role during her days in the institute. Her debut role in Loving as Hannah Mayberry, which lasted from 1992 to 1993, earned her satisfactory recognition.

This further assisted her to get more work on television in near future. Rebecca De Mornay was next seen in the Vanishing Son action pack series, a recurring role, appearing from 1993 to 1994. Finally her jump into the television industry took place through her feature in several television commercials for Noxzema, which further earned her the name of The Noxzema Girl.

Making her more visible on small screen, Rebecca Gayheart played the role of Bess Martin coming on air in1994 and 1995; in Earth 2, a science fiction series. Another of her cited television appearance is in the series Beverly Hills, 90210, where she portrays the role of Antonia Marchette; the character is romantically linked to Luke Perry. As a regular television star she was seen on Earth 2 and many other notable series.

Some of her other remarkable regular emergences can be seen in Wasteland (1999), and Dead Like Me (2003). In the later she played the character of Betty. A household name in the arena of television, Rebecca Gayheart landed a recurring role on Nip/Tuck (2004). Apart from the above mentioned unforgettable television roles the actress has done a number of films as well.

In 1997 she landed her role on the silver screen in the box-office runaway hit Scream 2 and followed this up with Nothing to Lose. However, her role in the movie Urban Legend helped her gain amazing success and a sound place in the industry as an up-coming star in Hollywood. Rebecca Gayheart found a place in the obscure Canadian film Hair Shirt teaming once again with fellow Scream star Neve Campbell.
