Mia Sara Appeared in 20000 Leagues Under The Sea


This noted television personality was born on June 19, 1967 in Brooklyn Heights, New York. She was earlier named as Mia Sarapocciello and later adopted her screen name Mia Sara. Her father worked as a photographer and her mother kept herself busy by being a stylist.

As a kid Mia Sara went to St. Ann's School in Brooklyn for elementary and high school, and then completed her graduation from high school in 1985. One of the best ways to explain her identity would be to mention that she enjoys the status of being the daughter-in-law of Sean Connery.

As a teenager the ravishing actress Mia Sara was very keen to become an actress. As she grew up watching Hollywood stars like Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, and Marlene Dietrich, she fell in love with them and aspired to be like them.

While still a young girl her mother took her to the Regency Theatre in Uptown Manhattan to watch The French Lieutenant's Woman. After Mia Sara came out of the theatre she felt to have the full character her herself, and was determined to take up acting seriously and become an actress in the log run.

Mia Sara received her first break in movies in Ridley Scott's dark fantasy feature film Legend in 1985. She acted alongside Tom Cruise and Tim Curry and portrayed the character of Princess Lily in the movie.

However, following this her recognition as a superb was earned through her role as Sloane Peterson, in the high school comedy, Ferris Bueller's Day Off; the character was the girlfriend of Matthew Broderick's character. Prior to this she acted in several films as well, which include A Stranger Among Us with Melanie Griffith and Time Cop. In the movie Time Cop Mia Sara acted opposite to the famous Hollywood action hero Jean Claude Van Damme.

Posing as a great talent in both the silver screen and small screen Mia Sara has numerous television credits to her name. Among her many notable television appearances is the television mini-series Queenie that displayed the life story of Queenie Kelly, from India to England; the series also featured Kirk Douglas. Following this she appeared in the sitcom 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea alongside Michael Caine and Patrick Dempsey.

Continuing on this note the talented actress was cast in another series titled as Brian Henson's Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story with Matthew Modine and Vanessa Redgrave. She is featured in The WB's new action-drama series, Birds of Prey portraying the character of Dr. Harleen Quinzel. At present Mia Sara, along with her 5-year-old son lives in Los Angeles. Other her passion for acting she loves reading, practicing yoga and having a time with her kid. Mia Sara
