Nikki Cox Shines On Television


Nikki Cox is an American television actress best known for her roles in series like Unhappily Ever After and Las Vegas. She has also ventured on to the big screen with minor roles in Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Nutty Professor 2: The Clumps.

Nikki Cox was born as Nicola Avery Cox on June 2 1978 in Los Angeles, California. From the age of four, she began taking dance classes and started her career in showbiz as a dancer in The Joffrey Ballet and The Los Angeles Music Center Ballet tours. Next she performed in Michael Jacksons Moonwalker, Paula Abduls Forever Your Girl, MTV Awards and The Arsenio Hall Show.

In 1988, Nikki Cox made her debut on the big screen with a part in the science fiction comedy MAC and Me. The young actress then appeared in a number of guest roles for television series like Mamas family, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Night Court, Murphy Brown, Baywatch, Eerie, Indiana, California Dreams and Blossom. In 1992, she was seen in a big Hollywood production, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Then followed a series of Made-for-TV movies like The Ryan White Story, Danger Island, Bloodlines: Murder in the Family and Someone Like Me.

The big break in television for Nikki Cox came in 1995 when she got the part of the sexy, self-centered teenager, Tiffany Malloy in the sitcom Unhappily Ever After. The series ran on the WB network from 1995 to 1997. along with this, she also appeared on General Hospital as Jagger Cates long lost sister. After roles in film like Glimmer Man and Sub Down, Nikki Cox was seen on The Drew Carey Show, Pearl and The Norm Show in which she portrayed the rehabilitated prostitute, Taylor Clayton.

In the summer of 2000 Nikki Cox was briefly seen as Ms Stamos in the comedy Nutty Professor 2: The Clumps. In 2000, she was cast in her own television show Nikki on the WB network where she starred as a Vegas showgirl thus getting the opportunity to indulge in her twin passions of singing and dancing. Her latest release on the big screen has been Run Ronnie Run! (2002) and from 2005, she joined the cast of the television drama Las Vegas as Mary Conell. Currently she has been modeling for sportsbook.com.

In the past Nikki Cox has been romantically linked to her co-stars like Kevin Conelly who played her brother in Unhappily Ever After. She was then briefly engaged to Bobcat Goldthwaite, a comedian fifteen years her senior who had given the voice of Mr. Floppy, the stuffed bunny on Unhappily Ever After. She also dated her Las Vegas co-star Josh Duhamel. In 2006, however, she entered into a relationship with comedian and actor Jay Mohr and they were married on December 29, 2006 in Los Angeles.
