Maud Adams Swedish Descent Model


Maud Adams is of Swedish descent and is best known for her appearances in two Bond movies. These were Octopussy that was released in the year 1983 and The Man with the Golden Gun that came out in the year 1974.

Maud Adams was also seen as an extra in the film A View to a Kill in the year 1985. Her real name was Maud Solveig Christina Wikstrom and was born in Sweden. Her father Gustav Wikstrom was a cash flow supervisor and her mother, Thyra was a government tax inspector.

Her photograph was taken by a photographer in a shop in the year 1963 and Maud Adams had never looked back after that. This photograph was then submitted to the Miss Sweden competition by the photographer.

This competition was arranged by the magazine Allers. Surprisingly Maud Adams went onto win the contest and her modeling career took of from there. Adams however had to relocate to Paris and then to the city of New York in order to find work.

She went on to a sign with the well known Eileen Ford where she was considered to be the highest paid model there. Maud Adams was also given a large amount of coverage and publicity that many others did not receive.

Maud Adams career in films began with The Boys in The Band where she played the character of a model. The movie was released in the year 1970. She had also done her share of television in American television programs. In television she was seen in such shows like Kojak and Hawaii Five-O.

She also appeared as the host of the Swedish TV Show Kafe Lulea in the year 1994. Maud Adams also made a guest appearance in the soap opera of the Swedish show Vita logner in the year 1998. Interestingly the Swedish actress had two Swedish actresses as her co-stars in both her outings as Bond Girl.

In the film Octopussy she had Kristina Wayborn who played the character of Magda. In The Man With the Golden Gun she appeared along with Britt Ekland in the character of Mary Goodnight. Maud Adams was at first married to Roy Adams a photographer by profession in the year 1966.

However, they later divorced in the year 1975. Maud Adams second marriage was to Charles Rubin who was a judge by profession. Both met each other and decided to get married in the year 1993. They fixed there marriage date to be May 23rd. Maud has no children by both of her marriages. Her movie credits include films like The Seekers in the year 2006, Ringer in the year 1996, The Favorite in 1989 to mention of the recent ones. Maud Adams
